Lawoti Farms, located at Five HayStacks farm in Campbellville, Ontario, is operated by Surendra Lawoti. The half-acre farm, managed through sustainable growing practices such as minimal tillage, crop rotation, and cover cropping, offers farm-to-table products and South Asian-focused mixed vegetables for farmers' markets, restaurants, and wholesale.

Surendra, originally from Nepal and based in Canada since 2008, has embraced farming as a new entrepreneurial path over the past three years. His journey into agriculture was driven by a desire to reconnect with his roots and share his heritage. He began by growing Dalle, a Nepali variety of hot peppers, to recreate his mother's cherished achar recipe for the North American market.

Expanding into market gardening, Surendra now grows over 50 varieties of vegetables. His focus on sustainability and cultural preservation has become the foundation of his farm's mission. In 2025, he will launch a CSA program to offer local customers fresh, culturally significant produce. Through Lawoti Farms, Surendra combines his passion for farming with a deep connection to his heritage and a commitment to sustainable agriculture.
